Alpine:
Museum of the Big Bend, art galleries, rock hunting, shopping, special
year 'round events, and a variety of restaurants.
Big Bend National Park: Hike amidst beautiful scenery and wildlife,
river fat on the Rio Grande, mountain climb, horseback ride, and bird
watch.
Terlingua
and Lajitas (Historic border mining districts): Ghost towns, golf,
and the world's largest chili cookoff each November.
Fort Davis: Fort Davis National Historic Site, Mc Donald Observatory,
Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute, Scenic Loop Drive, and Davis Mountains
State Park.
Marfa: View the mysterious Marfa Lights, an unexplained natural
phenomenon, and visit the Chinati Foundation.
Lake Balmorhea: World's largest spring-fed pool, a constant 74
degrees.
